Earlestown Individual KO (Sponsored by Bryn Labour Club)

Winner - Danny Bell

Danny Bell beat Chris Cooper 3-2 in the Final of the 2025 Earlestown & District Snooker League Individual Knockout - The premier indiviual competion in the League.

The unseasonably hot weather made it a difficult night for both players and it was a tight and tense final throughout. Chris held leads of 1-0 and 2-1 before Danny came though to win 3-2.

Congratulations to Danny and well done to Chris for reaching the final against some tough competition.

League Champions 2024/25 - Newton Conservative ‘B’

Newton Conservative ‘B’ powered to the Earlestown League Championship with a 6-0 demolition of The Turpin View. This result culminated a run of 16 points from the last 3 matches leaving second placed Bryn Labour, who in comparison picked up just 5 points in their last 3 matches, floundering in their wake.

It was a great all-round performance by Newton, who rotated 10 players throughout the season with all 10 making excellent contributions. Mike Hutchinson was the star performer winning 12 of his 15 matches.

The victory was particularly rewarding for Newton captain Tony Kelly who having competed in every season for the last 48 years finally won his first league title.

At the conclusion of the League matches, congratulations go to Gary Royds of Bryn Labour who takes the Player of the Year award for the most wins of 15 wins out of 17 matches played. Also, to Howard Butcher of Newton Cons ‘A’ who took the Highest Break prize with a run of 66 against Craig Briscoe.
